Finding the right makeup artist for your big day or event can be a stressful process. In addition to finding someone who understands your style and can bring your vision to life, it is also important that your makeup artist is a positive presence as they will be with you as you prepare. For this reason it is important to consider not just your artists professional qualifications, but also their personality and attributes. By giving you a bit of insight into both these sides of me I hope to be able to demonstrate how we would work together and to help you decide whether I am the best fit for you!
ABOUT ELLEN MUNRO MAKEUP ARTIST
I am a diploma qualified makeup artist and hairstylist with over 5 years wedding experience and over a hundred weddings under my belt. As I own and operate my business you know when you book Ellen Munro, that is who you will receive on the day. I work closely with my brides to tailor a look that suits their skin type, and their personal style. My mission is to provide my brides with a personalised service that suits their needs and brings out their best, without masking or overshadowing their natural beauty.
Offering hand-brushed traditional and airbrush makeup services, I can achieve anything from a natural look to heavy glamour. I work with all skin types and mix and blend products to create custom formulations suitable for all skin tones. Having worked with a number of hair types means I can create the perfect up do or down style to complete your look. Being a curly girl myself I especially enjoy working with natural curls, but am also confident working with wavy, straight, thin, and thick hair. Check out my previous work or get in touch to see how we can work together to achieve your dream look.
ABOUT ELLEN
When I’m not helping people feel beautiful, My husband Chris and I spend our time trying to keep three small humans alive. Our daughters, Abigail and Ramona, and son, Elias. We also have two giant furbabies, Jack and Martha. They’re Great Danes who think they’re chihuahas. Be warned, I do come equipped with a phone full of photos, and I have been known to use it!
Growing up I was a drama queen, in every sense of the word. I pursued makeup as a way to enter the theatre world, having a strong interest in stage makeup and wig making. However, not long after completing my diploma I had my first bridal client, and that was that. I discovered I loved bridal work more than I could have anticipated. There’s no better way to spend a Saturday than with a group of ladies as they excitedly prep for the day they’ve spent months, or years, planning. If there happens to be a terrible 90’s playlist, than so be it!
